The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Afigya Kwabre South in the Ashanti region, Hon Patricia Pearl Ankrah, has pledged that every infrastructure project initiated under her administration will be fully completed by December 2026.
The district has launched approximately 16 major infrastructure projects designed to significantly improve the livelihoods and well-being of local residents.
These key developments include new classroom blocks, modern markets, mechanised boreholes, healthcare facilities, and police posts aimed at strengthening community security.
Ms Ankrah announced this at Ebom Bomfa during a week-long community engagement tour across the district.
The initiative was launched to update residents on ongoing and completed development projects, marking a strategic shift toward direct public accountability by the government though the District Assembly.
The town hall-style tour commenced on Monday, 22nd June 2026, with initial visits to Adwumakase and Aduman.
This was followed by interactive sessions in Wawase/Sweduro and Kyekyekyerase, with the tour concluding on Tuesday, 30th June 2026 at Aboabogya and Ntiri Buoho.
These interactive engagements successfully brought together a diverse group of stakeholders, including traditional chiefs, community elders, Assembly and Unit Committee Members, local youth groups, and general community members.
Beyond the current projects, the DCE outlined an ambitious long-term development agenda for the district.
Over the next four years, the assembly targets the construction of eight new health centres, two primary schools, two Junior High Schools, two kindergartens, and 120 boreholes.
To turn this vision into reality, the DCE appealed directly to the Chief of Ebom Bomfa to secure and demarcate land specifically for upcoming development projects, ensuring that vital infrastructure is brought directly to the doorsteps of the people.
Ms Ankrah urged all residents to actively support her administration’s initiatives, noting that unity and collaboration are essential to achieving goals that will positively impact the entire district.
