The Regional Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Ashanti Region, Isham Alhassan Yaw Bonsu, has officially announced his bid to contest for the position of Ashanti Regional Chairman in the party’s upcoming internal elections.
In an official communiqué released to party executives, delegates, and supporters across the region, Mr Bonsu confirmed that he has successfully picked nomination forms to enter the chairmanship race.
Mr Bonsu stated that his decision to run stems from a desire to strengthen the party’s foundation in the region rather than self-interest.
”This is not driven by personal ambition, but by a deep commitment to rebuild, empower and restore hope to our grassroots base, who are the very foundation and lifeblood of our great Party,” Mr Bonsu said in the statement.
Looking ahead to the campaign period, the incumbent Regional Organiser urged party members and fellow candidates to conduct their activities peacefully and respectfully.
He called for a decorous, unifying campaign as he seeks the support, prayers, and counsel of the region’s delegates.
Mr Bonsu also expressed appreciation to party supporters for the opportunity to serve as Regional Organiser, highlighting the collective efforts that helped lead the party back to power.
