Popular Adehye FM morning show host Prince Ofori Atta has officially entered the race for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Deputy Ashanti Regional Secretary position, picking up nomination forms to launch his campaign under the banner “POA2026.”
Running on a platform anchored by the twin themes “Service Above All” and “Changing the Narratives,” the broadcast journalist aims to modernise party communications, fortify administrative structures, and maximise the governing party’s electoral strength in the region ahead of the 2028 general elections.
Speaking to journalists shortly after securing his forms today, Ofori Atta emphasised the need to revitalise internal party mechanics and re-engage the grassroots.
“Our focus must be on rebuilding confidence among the party faithful, fostering unity within the rank and file, and bridging the gap between the regional secretariat and the grassroots,” Ofori Atta said.
His platform focuses on three key priorities: expanding political literacy programmes, deepening youth engagement, and streamlining communication channels between regional leadership and constituency executives.
If elected, Ofori Atta pledged to build a proactive secretariat that enhances daily administrative oversight, delivers structured support to local branches, and sharpens the party’s regional campaign machinery.
