The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has successfully conducted peaceful constituency executive elections in 245 out of 276 constituencies nationwide, representing an impressive 88.7% success rate.
However, the National Steering Committee has intervened to directly review electoral activities in four key constituencies—most notably Bantama, alongside Afigya Sekyere East, Adansi Asokwa, and Asante Akyem Central.
This brings the total number of outstanding areas to 31.
According to an official update signed by General Secretary Justin Kodua Frimpong, the remaining delays stem from a combination of localised disputes and unforeseen procedural challenges.
Outside of the four areas undergoing high-level steering committee reviews, polls in 23 constituencies were put on hold due to various internal disputes.
An additional four constituencies—Ningo Prampram, Atwima Mponua, Obuasi West, and Trobu—were unable to hold elections due to last-minute technicalities.
Despite these localised setbacks, the National Secretariat reaffirmed its commitment to completing the internal reorganisation safely, transparently, and efficiently.
”The National Secretariat remains fully committed to resolving all outstanding issues and ensuring the successful completion of the electoral process,” Frimpong stated in the release.
The General Secretary expressed profound gratitude to party members for their cooperation, praising the rank-and-file “Patriots” for the discipline and support that ensured the vast majority of the elections concluded peacefully.
