Personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) are currently battling a major fire outbreak near the Central Police Station in Accra.
Firefighters from the Accra City Fire Station are leading the first-line response to contain the blaze.
Due to the intensity of the fire, reinforcements have been deployed from multiple surrounding stations, including the Ministries, Parliament, and Industrial Area Fire Stations.
In a statement released on their official Facebook page, the GNFS confirmed that three additional fire tenders have been dispatched to the scene.
The primary objective is to bring the situation under control and prevent the flames from spreading to nearby structures in the bustling commercial area.
