The District Chief Executive (DCE) for the Ahafo Ano South West District Assembly, Hon Abubakar Sedik, has marked his first year in office with a formal address reflecting on the district’s developmental progress and a pledge to continue serving with transparency and humility.
The milestone anniversary was accompanied by an official commemorative release, which highlights key focus areas and expresses gratitude to stakeholders and leadership.
In his anniversary message, Hon Sedik credited the achievements of his first year to a collaborative effort between the local government, community leaders, and residents.
He noted that the assembly has made steady advancements across several critical sectors, including targeted interventions in road networks to improve connectivity, continued investments in education and healthcare delivery, and structured initiatives aimed at empowering youth and promoting grassroots community development.
“Together, we have made steady progress in areas such as roads, education, health, youth empowerment and community development,” Hon Sedik stated. “Though much work still lies ahead, I remain committed to serving with honesty, dedication and humility.”
The DCE expressed profound gratitude to President John Dramani Mahama, the ruling party leadership, traditional and religious authorities, assembly members, and security agencies for their guidance and cooperation over the past 12 months.
He emphasised that the one-year milestone belongs to the entire district, describing the public’s contributions as his primary motivation.
Looking ahead, Hon Sedik called for sustained cooperation, prayers, and support from all stakeholders to advance the assembly’s shared vision, encapsulated in the district’s official motto: “United we work, together we build a better Ahafo Ano South West.”
