Osman Abdullah Nabali, the Ashanti Regional Youth Organiser for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has formally submitted his nomination forms to contest the Ashanti Regional Organiser position.
Addressing party executives, delegates, and supporters upon filing his nomination, Nabali anchored his bid on his 12-year track record within the party’s regional executive structure.
He emphasised that his extensive grassroots experience makes him the ideal candidate to strengthen party organisation ahead of the 2028 general elections.
Nabali highlighted his 12 years of continuous service within the regional leadership structure, having served four years as Deputy Regional Youth Organiser followed by eight years as Regional Youth Organiser.
The vacancy for the Regional Organiser seat opened following the decision of the incumbent officer to contest for the Ashanti Regional Chairmanship.
Throughout his announcement, Nabali stressed that selecting tested and experienced leadership is vital for maintaining organisational stability and ensuring the party retains power in the 2028 elections.
Speaking directly to delegates, Nabali framed his candidacy as a logical continuation of his service, citing long-standing relationships across the party hierarchy from constituency leaders to regional executives.
”I served as the deputy youth organiser for four years before claiming to be the regional youth organiser for eight years,” Nabali said, adding, “Our boss, who is our current regional organiser, has moved to contest for the regional chairman position. For experience’s sake, I know I am the better person to occupy that position so that the region and the party people will not lose anything.”
Nabali noted that his familiar bond with delegates built over more than a decade would foster a smooth working relationship with whoever emerges as the next regional chairman.
”The message is simple: We worked together for 12 years. They know me, you know me, you, the delegates, the executives, from the chairman to the last person. I’m a friend to almost everyone of you,” he stated.
He highlighted: “Electing an experienced person will help boost the chances of the party in the 2028 election. I wish, and I hope… you elect Osman Abdullah Nabali as your regional organiser so that we can make sure the party retains power.”
