Former Afigya Kwabre South Constituency Chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, has expressed strong optimism about securing the party’s regional chairmanship following his successful clearance by the vetting committee.
Popularly known as COKA, the second-time contender promised to unite party structures and position the NPP for victory in the 2028 general elections.
Addressing the media shortly after his vetting clearance, COKA declared his readiness to lead the Ashanti region within the coming months with a results-oriented approach.
COKA, who picked number one on the ballot, pledged to usher in “great storm and more action, less noise and more progress, less speeches and more work, less jokes and more work.”
Detailing his vision for the party, COKA emphasised the need to build a cohesive front where party structures function effectively and transparently.
He called for a shared commitment among executives and members, stating that the party must work together, decide together, think together, enjoy together, and suffer together to achieve its objectives.
On electoral strategy, COKA highlighted that the primary goal of the party is winning and retaining political power.
He committed to employing all legal means to maximise the NPP’s presidential vote share and expand its parliamentary seats across the region ahead of 2028.
Reaffirming his commitment to running a clean, idea-based campaign, COKA noted that he is fully prepared to counter the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and its National Chairman, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah.
He reassured supporters that his leadership would actively defend, protect, and rebuild the party’s grassroots base.
