Residents of Kumasi have highly praised the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) and sanitation firm City Experts Group following the successful demonstration of a new mechanical road sweeper vehicle aimed at restoring the city’s historic cleanliness.
The demonstration, which took place across major roads within the Central Business District (CBD), saw the machine seamlessly clear waste and dust along the busy Pampaso stretch, the Kejetia Roundabout, and through the streets of Adum.
Impressed by the vehicle’s speed and efficiency, onlookers and residents are already urging city authorities to expand the initiative by importing more units for daily cleaning routines.
Many expressed hope that deploying these machines regularly will supplement existing sanitation efforts and help Kumasi reclaim its legendary title as West Africa’s “Garden City.”
City Experts Group has signed a contract with the KMA to provide regular cleaning services across the metropolis, focusing on waste picking and dust reduction.
Abubakar Shaibu, Manager of City Experts Group, confirmed the partnership and assured residents that the company is fully prepared for the task.
“We have officially signed a contract with the assembly to meet the cleaning needs of the metropolis,” Shaibu stated.
He emphasised that the company is fully equipped and would utilise its technical expertise and mechanical capabilities to uphold a consistently high standard of cleanliness across Kumasi.
