What a historic moment to savor for the Leicester city fans as their team beat Chelsea to win the English FA cup for the first time in 137 years.
This sweet victory was made possible by the Belgian Midfielder, Yuri Tielmans in the 63rd minute after he fired a beautiful long range shot into the top corner from about 25 yards away, leaving the Chelsea team itching for an equaliser.
A nail biting drama however unfolded later in the game when Wes Morgan in the 89th minute put through an own goal, raising the hopes of Chelsea in thinking they had at least equalised and that perhaps the game might get into extra-time, only for VAR to rule it out as an offside, crushing their hopeful hearts.
About 22,000 fans thronged the Wembley stadium to witness this outstanding win, making it all the more glorious.
This size of a crowd hasn’t been seen in any stadium since the outbreak of the covid-19 virus over a year ago, making the atmosphere one to remember in a very long time.
