#FixTheCountry: Sarkodie Finally breaks silence

Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie has in a recent post on Instagram added his voice to the trending issue in the country Ghana.

The most decorated artiste has replied the members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) who are asking Ghanaians to fix themselves before calling on the government to fix the country that fixing the country automatically fixes the people.

#Fixthecountry is trending on social media with calls on the government to fix the systems in the country to make life better for the people.

This issue so far has had a number of celebrities and youth speak up their pain whiles other go against it.

But the BET award winning rapper, Sarkodie believes that it’s the responsibility of the government to fix the system because that will automatically fix the people in the counrtry.

Below is what Sarkodie said;

I’ve always supported #FixtheCountry agenda since beginning of my career through my music. I know they ( politicians and political party followers ) intentionally politicize my opinion ( even when they know it’s the truth ) to save their party, thinking I’m attacking a particular party. I don’t explain myself because people with political ears and eyes will never accept it and try to attack My submission and that has been our biggest problem as a country and that’s one of the main reasons why we are stagnant. We all play a role in building our nation so I support both the #FixTheCountry ( to the leaders ) and #FixYourself ( citizens ) but at this point, leaders ( government ) has more to do for citizens to fix themselves. It takes exceptionally discipline people to try and live right in an all messed up system that frustrates your day to day activities. If you fix the system then you can blame the people 100% for not fixing themselves and that’s why you are leaders . Fixing the country automatically fixes the people … God bless my country Ghana”
