Court Gives NIA Permission Continue Ghana Card Registration

Accra high court has given the National Identification Authority the green light to continue with the Ghana Card enlistment amidst the deadly Coronavirus erupt in the country.

The Ghana card enrollment which is by and by in the Eastern Region was required to be deferred following an interlocutory mandate archived by two men of their assertion, Kevon Mark-Olive and Emmanuel Akumatey Okrah.

According to the court, the NIA’s decision to go ahead with the registration is not against the President’s directive suspending all public gatherings.

The injunction application was based on the directive given by the president for all mass social gatherings to be banned.
