The Chief Executive Officer for the Ghana Bankers Association, Daniel A to Kwamena Mensah has been reported dead. This sad incident happened on Friday, 17th July, 2020 after a short illnesses.
Mr. Daniel announced his intention to go on a retirement this year after working in the banking industry for soo many years.
Following his announcements, John Awuah the former Chief Executive of UMB was appointed as his Deputy Executive to eventually take over after he retires.
Mr. Daniel has once worked in the education sector as an educationist in both primary, secondary and tertiary levels.
He hold a B. A (Hons) degree in Economics with Political Science from the University of Ghana, an MSc. (Econs) degree in International Trade and Finance from the University of Ibadan and and MBA degree from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA).
He is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ghana. He us a Fellow of both the Chartered Institute of Bankers (FCIB) and the Institute of Loan and Risk Management (FTLRM).
His first employment in the banking industry was as a Research Economist in 1985 for the National Investment Bank.
He was later appointed as the Executive Secretary/Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Association of Bankers in the year 1992.
As the CEO of the association his role was to see to the day to day management of the Association’s Secretariat and is the liaison between all licensed banks and all other external institutions.
