Ghanaian musician and radio personality, Blakk Rasta has heavily descended on the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for its attempts to deceive the youth about paying their rent when voted into power come 2020 elections.
According to the the former Communication Director of the NPP party, Nana Akomea during the party’s weekly press at Alisa Hotel said:
“Housing is a major problem facing the youth in Ghana and one can’t even find affordable accommodation. The rent advance will be paid to landlords directly with the beneficiary making a monthly payment to the scheme. You don’t need to think of rent advance again”.
However, Blakk Rasta has come out to label the action as a cheap attempt at propaganda to deceive the youth
He took on the issue while speaking on Zylofon 102.1FM on the Taxi Driver Show, specifically labelling the promises as ‘recycled trash’.
“Cheap propaganda to win votes, listen to what these people are saying, after promising us 1-district, 1-factory the same Nana Akomea who is my good brethren is saying that with the 1-district, 1-factory they will create more jobs. You are just recycling your trash and throwing it unto the people” .
