Zambia’s Information Minister tests positive for Coronavirus

Information reaching the desk of newshubgh.com is that the information and Broadcasting minister for Zambia has contacted the novel Coronavirus.

Zambia as we know is part of the countries who have so far recorded 920 confirmed cases of Coronavirus and seven deaths.

The Information and Broadcasting Minister Dora Siliya on Saturday May 23, took to social media to announced that she has tested positive for the novel Coronavirus.

Dora Siliya has gone into self-isolation after revealing that she is asymptomatic (has not shown any symptom) and does not feel ill. 

Zambia’s information minister Dora Siliya who confirmed this in a short video she shared on Twitter, said she tested positive despite taking all precautions such as masking, washing hands and keeping social distancing.

She also advised all to be careful for the Coronavirus pandemic is real.

Siliya also urged citizens to stay calm and observe hygiene and social distancing measures. She is the first Zambian senior official to make public her status.
